Normotherm™ Infrared Heater
The Britz Normotherm™ Infrared Heater delivers consistent, targeted warmth to laboratory animals, whether for perioperative support, recovery, whelping, or general comfort. Its infrared heating method maintains stable body temperature without overheating the surrounding air, promoting faster recovery and improved animal welfare. The system operates quietly and energy-efficiently, making it a low-maintenance, cost-effective solution for research facilities. Designed for versatility, Normotherm can be used on surgical tables, in recovery cages, or within rehabilitation environments.
- Consistent, effective infrared heating – Provides gentle, uniform warmth that supports thermoregulation, enhances vasodilation for procedures like tail-vein injections, and aids in post-surgical or rehabilitative care.
- Quiet, energy-efficient performance – Operates smoothly with minimal noise and low operating costs while preventing excess room heat.
- Flexible application options – Suitable for perioperative warming, recovery, whelping, and rehab needs, and can be paired with an optional rolling stand and adjustable arm for precise heat placement.

EMber IVC Heating System
The Tecniplast EMber IVC Heating System delivers precise, automatic thermal regulation for animals housed in Emerald Line IVCs, making it ideal for post-surgical recovery, metabolic or thermoregulation studies, drug therapy, cancer research, or care of pups and vulnerable strains. When a cage equipped with the dedicated metal plate is inserted into the rack, the induction-based Heating Module activates automatically - heating up to 40 °C or 104 °F and continuously monitoring to maintain a stable, set temperature. Because it is retrofittable onto standard EM500 IVC racks, EMber allows multiple cages to be heated simultaneously without major infrastructure changes. Its user-friendly interface simplifies temperature control and experimental setup, supporting consistent and high-welfare housing conditions across diverse applications.
- Automatic induction heating with precise temperature control (up to 40 °C or 104 °F) – Ensures stable and consistent warmth for post-surgical animals, pups, or subjects in thermoregulation or drug-metabolism studies.
- Retrofit-ready for existing EM500 IVC racks – Integrates easily with current housing infrastructure, allowing facilities to upgrade without replacing entire rack systems.
- Supports multiple heated cages per rack with a simple interface – Enhances operational efficiency and scalability for both small and large research facilities.
